Job CentreI Job Centre
Where can you find a job? Who are the entrepreneurs looking for? The citizens of Swidnica could find the answer for this and many other questions on Friday, September 29th. In the Meeting House of an Evangelical Parish, there took place a Job Centre, one of the elements of the Economic Fair. Organizers: the Sudety Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Swidnica and the Municipal Office in Swidnica saw that the interested people could find a an offer of a professional education, meet the representatives of companies, which are searching for the employees. Among others, these were: Electrolux (Zarow, Swidnica), Sonel (Swidnica), Colgate-Palmolive (Swidnica), Daicel (Zarow). Also, the organizations supporting the enterprise and recruitment companies had their own stands. The programme of the Friday’s Job Centre included awarding the prizes in the „Economic Debut” and „My idea for the future job” competitions, as well as signing the Partnership Pact among the local authorities, entrepreneurs and institutions responsible for the market. Thanks to this Pact, partners have a chance to efficiently exchange the information about the needs of a labour market. Based on the talks made after the end of the Centre, it comes out that such an initiative is highly acclaimed and needed in Swidnica. As the recruitment companies’ representatives estimate, among the people reporting their will to work in the abovementioned enterprises, at least 20% constitute the candidates capable to start their job at once, next 20%- after a short training. Thus, the situation isn’t as bad as it would seem based on the circulating opinions about the lack of a workforce due to a mass migration abroad. All the more, we are proud that it was a right time that the Sudety Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Swidnica took up – in cooperation with the Municipal Office in Swidnica – the organization of this Centre. By locating their companies in Swidnica or widening the scope of their activity of already existing companies, the employers plan to increase the number of employed in next years, which results in their vivid interest in another editions of the Job Centre. Thus, it is highly probable that this event will acquire a status of a cyclic event and will find its place in the calendar of economic events of the Town in future. While, the previous day, i.e. Thursday, September 28th -a first day of the Job Centre, was dedicated to a professional education of young people. Several hundred students of post-secondary schools from the Swidnica County, the Czech Republic and Hungary took part in this meeting. The Job Centre is a part of the project: „Partnership of Towns of the Central Europe- Towards the Efficient Workers Mobility” cofinanced by the European Commission.
